Meta recently published a report that over 1 million Facebook users’ login details have been compromised. CBS News reported that the login details have been stolen by different malicious apps. There are around 400 apps on Android and Apple Stores that target people to steal their login credentials. As per the report, Meta has already informed Google and Apple about their findings.

They have also shared the findings with security researchers and policymakers in order to strengthen the security of the apps against

threats. The company further informed that the apps are listed on Google Play and Apple App Store and those malicious apps are disguised as games, business apps, photo editors, VPN services, and other utility apps to trick people into downloading.
