ChatGPT fails in JEE and manages to solve only 11 questions

There are many things that ChatGPT can do right from writing scripts to solving the toughest question papers. It has proved that OpenAI Chatbot will stay for a long time but it faced a setback and failed to clear India’s prestigious Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. The JEE exam is a complex paper that is attempted by thousands of students with the hope to secure admission to the top engineering institutions in India.

ChatGPT gave a disappointing performance by solving only 11 questions out of the total number of questions asked in both papers. According to Professor Ram Gopal Rao, former director of IIT Delhi, ChatGPT faced significant challenges in solving the complex diagrams and figures in this tough paper.

We cannot fully discredit ChatGPT for not scoring great in JEE exams as it has passed several known and rigorous exams in the past. In the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), where candidates must answer 180 questions out of 200, ChatGPT attempted and answered all 200 questions. Though ChatGPT scored 359 out of 800 in total, that equals last year’s cut-off marks and translates to 45 percent which is equally good.

ChatGPT answered the questions of the biology section with great accuracy on the NEET exam.
Considering it we can say that ChatGPT has the potential to excel in other fields even though it failed the JEE advanced exam.

ChatGPT is an AI-powered language model that is enabled to perform various tasks, such as language translation, summarization, and answering questions. It has received worldwide attention due to its unbelievable abilities, and has left uncertainties for human jobs.

The failure of ChatGPT in the JEE advanced exam highlights its limitation of the most advanced AI model. Though AI chatbots have the potential to bring revolution in different fields of work, it still has to go a long way to match human intelligence in solving complex problems.
