This is the last car of its kind. Elon Musk stated that Tesla intends to begin shipping the Roadster electric sports car by 2025. The Roadster is the fastest car in the world. According to Musk, the Roadster will reportedly reach 60 mph in less than a second, and this is possible because of a partnership between Tesla and SpaceX. Furthermore, according to Musk, the sports car’s speed is its “least interesting part.” In his post on X, Musk stated, “We significantly raised the design objectives for the new Tesla Roadster tonight.” Musk claims that the production design of the Roadster is complete and will be revealed by the end of 2024.
With intentions to launch the four-seater electric vehicle in 2020, Tesla first unveiled the Roadster in 2017. Since then, the car has also been available for pre-booking for a nominal $50,000, or roughly Rs 41.5 lakh. However, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, declared in 2021 that problems with the global supply chain would cause the Roadster’s launch to be delayed until 2023. Musk stated in 2023 that he hoped Tesla would begin manufacturing the eagerly anticipated next-generation Roadster electric sports car in 2024. The Roadster will be unveiled by year’s end and begin shipping in 2025, according to the CEO of Tesla.
In addition, Tesla launched a Roadster into space aboard a SpaceX rocket one year after the vehicle’s initial 2017 unveiling. The ultimate carpool was accomplished by SpaceX, which launched Elon Musk’s cherry-red Tesla Roadster into space while it was “driven” by Starman, a spacesuit-clad mannequin with a “Don’t Panic” sticker stuck to the dashboard.

Given that the DeLorean is associated with time travel at a speed of 88 miles per hour, the idea of a flying Tesla may seem more akin to science fiction, but given Musk’s assertion that the Roadster’s extreme speeds are its “least interesting part,” one has to wonder if it could actually be possible.
