In a thrilled truck chasing scene where IPS Diana Joseph (Tabu), manages to catch cocaine worth 1000s of crores which was being transported by Sikka Gang’s Nithari (Vineet Kumar) & his younger/crazier brother Ashwathama (Deepak Dobriyal). Ashwathama went crazy as the drugs along with his brother were captured by the police. Diana escapes Ashwathama’s trap of getting intoxicated at a higher rank official’s retirement party while many of her colleagues are drugged to an extent that if not treated in a couple of hours they may lose their lives.
She took the task of transferring these officers to a hospital that is 3 hours away along with Bholaa’s (Ajay Devgn) help because he’s the only one to drive a truck. Also, Bholaa got arrested just for looking suspicious after spending ten years in jail for the reasons to be revealed in the later part of the film (or according to Lokesh Kanagaraj’s wish). He decides to help Diana due to his reasons and covers the highway full of death traps and tries to keep the officers alive and detained drugs safe.

Script Analysis of Bholaa:

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s story is imbibed by Ajay Devgn in the most theatrical way possible, absolutely nailing the ‘action and entertainment. The crux of the movie is similar but there is some unwanted clutter that might have been avoided. Bholaa’s narrative is based on VFX-filled action sequences.
Till the end, the film’s action is the soul of the movie. It is a very John Wick-like ‘open contract’ against the protagonist action sequence or Ajay’s Bholaa thrashes the life of baddies using the ‘Trishul’,. There is an additional love track, a love song, and a long dramatic drag of the father-daughter subplot that holds Bholaa back. There is still a strong belief that Ajay Devgn along with his trusted cinematographer Aseem Bajaj will make a film that will stun his fans as well as every cinema fan.

Star Performance in Bholaa:

Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa is a silent hero who doesn’t have any one-liner dialogues, and as usual, his eyes will do the serious talks. He has shown this characteristic of his is shown multiple times in his career, and he still carries the same level of swag here. Tabu, as always, is mind-blowing and performed brilliantly during the choreographed action scene blasting a container filled with dust.
Deepak Dobriyal’s Ashwathama is on point, and despite doing all the crazy things (like killing someone while dancing on an item track), he never gets too crazy to cringe you out. Gajraj Rao is the best and is unrecognizable with the kind of get-up he has carried and the accent he has adapted to. Sanjay Mishra’s role gives a much-needed comical relief during the film and the actor playing Kharchi (Amir Khan, as per Wiki) would surely make you chuckle amid all the chaos. Vineet Kumar as Nithari will make you believe that it’s Piyush Mishra playing his character which is the best compliment derived for him.

Direction and Music of Bholaa:

Ajay Devgn, the director, is always respected for his vision for cinema which he only cemented with Shivaay and now Bholaa. He is just one good script away from being called a director to remember.
The background score of the film is given by KGF fame Ravi Basrur and is over the board and loud, similar to the Yash-led franchise.

The Last Word for Bholaa:

Bholaa is all about Ajay Devgn‘s grand vision for cinema, and he continues his hunt for that one perfect film.
