“Increasing Attacks Prompt 67% of Companies to Outsource Critical Cybersecurity Functions.”
Amidst a burgeoning cybersecurity atmosphere, a recent IDC report reveals that approximately 67% of Indian enterprises are set to entrust crucial aspects of their security domain to Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) within the upcoming three years. Furthermore; an intriguing trend emerges as organizations shift their focus towards consolidation, aiming to streamline their operations by reducing the number of MSSP partnerships in the foreseeable future.
As Indian enterprises forge ahead with their digital transformation endeavors; it becomes overbearing to include outsourcing of vital functions like threat detection, security operations, and risk mitigation in their enterprise strategies. This strategic move not only enhances operational efficiencies but also holds the potential to positively impact the bottom line, positioning organizations for success in the dynamic landscape of today’s business environment.
Sakshi Grover, the research manager of Future of Trust, IDC India and Asia/Pacific; “A lot of enterprises go with security service providers that can offer global capabilities in a local delivery model and can help them in unifying their vendor ecosystem by offering a plethora of services under one umbrella.”
According to a recent survey; a significant 72.5% of enterprises have already integrated threat intelligence products or services into their organizational framework. Surprisingly, an additional 26.5% have expressed their intention to adopt these solutions within the next two years, highlighting the growing recognition of the importance of such tools in today’s ever-evolving threat landscape.
Furthermore, an overwhelming majority of approximately 92% of enterprises surveyed firmly believe that secure access service edge (SASE) will play a pivotal role in their future cybersecurity strategy. Recognizing the need for a more agile and comprehensive approach to security; these organizations anticipate the widespread adoption of SASE as a means to bolster their defense mechanisms and protect against an array of emerging threats.
