The birds are asked to fly away – leaving Twitter India’s nest almost vacant. Elon Musk, after taking over Twitter let go of almost all the employees of the Twitter India team. According to the source; there were around 250 employees in their India office.
Since Elon Musk became the owner and CEO of Twitter; all the employees come under the cloud of uncertainty. They have already received a mail around 4 PM IST stating that they may be restricted to access the internal systems including emails and Slack in case, their position is affected by the downsizing. The company has already undergone downsizing in September.
As per the further report, the entire Curation Team of Twitter that has curated content for the Twitter Moments feature is entirely sacked. Departments like Global Content Partnerships, Communications, Sales and Ad Revenue, and Engineering and Product are also affected by the downsizing.
Yash Agarwal, the ex-team member of the Public Policy Team tweeted; “Just got laid off. Bird App, it was an absolute honor, the greatest privilege ever to be a part of this team, this culture.” “It’s been an honor to be a part of this team and this organization. It gives me immense gratitude to be able to call you folks my colleagues and my friends”, he added.
