Ronaldo being one of football’s immortals and because of his buid-up and background, his every mood and every emotion is captured. It could be the perfect answer to the Manchester United managers who had snubbed, spooked and snapped him and were grossly wrong about him.He needs a team around him and he is above everything.

Ronaldo was the centre of attention right from the starting few seconds to the 87th minute. He was even more isolated in the opening exchanges of the second half, when Ghana, docile in the first half, began to shift gears. With every passing moment, the moment seemed to escape him.

The 65th minute of the game was the ronaldo moment.

Brazil win over Serbia: Brazil’s Richarlison celebration

Brazil won 2-0 over Serbia on Thursday with Richarlison’s two second half goals including a spectacular overhead kick.“As our professor Tite says, ‘you are smelling goals’, and that’s what’s happening,” Richarlison said.“It’s a wonderful night, a beautiful victory and now we have six games to reach our goal.”

The four forwards sent by Tite namely, Neymar, Vinicius Jr, Raphinha and Richarlison in his attacking line up made it hard for Serbia to play forward.

Brazil’s best chance of the half, however, came when Neymar tried to catch goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic off guard from a corner, whipping in an inswinger that was on target before the Torino player punched it clear.

At the 80th minute of the game Neymar complained of an ankle injury while tackling Nikola Milenkovic.  The doctors will evaluate his swollen ankle for 1-2 days but Tite was confident about him playing his rest of the matches.

“We are confident that Neymar will continue playing in the World Cup,” Tite told reporters. When asked why he wasn’t withdrawn earlier as he already had injured ankle he added saying “I didn’t see Neymar was injured. The capacity he has to overcome it tricked even me,”.

Serbia’s coach Dragan Stojkovic named their all-time top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic in the starting lineup.

The second half was a one-sided match as Brazil shifted through the gears, Richarlison and Neymar wasting gilt-edged chances inside the box and Alex Sandro and Casemiro sending long-range efforts against the woodwork. But Richarlison was at the right place to rebound for his first world cup goal after Vinicius’ initial shot was saved by Milinkovic-Savic.

Richarlison’s second goal instilled confidence in the Brazilian contingent.

“In the second half we fell physically and we were no longer playing like a team. And everyone knows Brazil have excellent players and they punished us,” Stojkovic said.

“I feel sorry we didn’t have Mitrovic and (Filip) Kostic at 100%. They were not ready.“The intensity was high in the second half and we gave Brazil too much space. I don’t know why our players’ intensity was down, it’s strange.”
