Rapper MC Stan was crowned the winner of Bigg Boss season 16 on Sunday, defeating his friend Shiv Thakare.
Stan was presented with the trophy, over 31 lakh in prize money, and a car by show host and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Thakare was the first runner-up in season 16 of the show, which premiered on October 1, 2022. Popular TV star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who was expected to win, finished third. Archana Gautam, a politician-model, finished fourth, with actor Shalin Bhanot, known for series like Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar and Dill Mill Gayye, finishing fifth.

The friendship established by the mandali, which also included Thakare, filmmaker Sajid Khan, Abdu Rozik, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, and Sumbul Touqeer Khan, was one of the highlights of Bigg Boss 16. Choudhary, whose eviction stunned many, including Khan, said she is overjoyed with the support she has received. “I believed I’d be eliminated in a week, but after your (Khan’s) scolding, I started getting practical (about the show),” she explained.
The big finale also included Bollywood star Sunny Deol promoting his next film Gadar 2 alongside co-star Ameesha Patel, as well as the cast of the new show Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, hosted by Karan Kundra. Khan praised Big Boss fans and followers for their love and support for the candidates at the start of the show. Actors Tina Datta, Ankit Gupta, Soundarya Sharma (Raktanchal 2), Sreejita De, and dancer Gori Nagori were also among the 17 season 16 contestants.
