Alia Bhatt is ready to make her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone, with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. Alia portrays a baddie in one of her earliest roles, challenging Gal and Jamie for ‘the heart’. Her father, Mahesh Bhatt, is overjoyed with her success. Mahesh expressed his pride in Alia for being a part of a film with such huge names as Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
The trailer for Alia’s Hollywood debut film, Heart of Stone, was released on June 18. The actress is slated to play the antagonist for the first time, sharing screen time with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. In the trailer’s description, Netflix noted, “Gal Gadot is Agent Rachel Stone, the only intelligence operative standing between her global, peace-keeping organization and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset, codenamed: The Heart (sic).”
Tom Harper is the film’s director, and Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder wrote the script. Producers include Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn of Mockingbird, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of Skydance, as well as Gadot and Jaron Varsano of Pilot Wave. Executive producers include Harper, Rucka, and Patty Whitcher. Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, and Matthias Schweighofer feature in the action thriller. The film will be available on Netflix on August 11.
Although this is not Alia Bhat’s first appearance in a female-centric film, fans were concerned about her brief appearance in the trailer. “That’s bound to happen,” Alia Bhatt responded. But I’m not too concerned with that because, at the end of the day, I believe you need to get a sense of what the story is about and how it leads to the final film. That is all that is important.” This film’s cast was spotted during the Netflix event Tudum in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
