On Friday, the Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra victoriously returned after a one-month injury break. He marked his first position in the Lausanne leg of the Diamond League, and this is his second consecutive victory of the particular season in this renowned competition.
It is a remarkable comeback by Neeraj Chopra after he missed three prestigious events due to a muscle strain that he suffered last month during his training process. To win this Diamond Title league, he threw 87.66m in the fifth round.
Though Neeraj Chopra began the game with a foul but followed with a throw of 83.52m and 85.04m. In the fourth round, he started with another foul but he came with his winning throw of 87.66m. A throw of 84.15m was recorded in his sixth and final round.
Julian Weber, a German player stood second as he threw 87.03m whereas, the third position was secured by a player from the Czech Republic Jakub Vadlejch.
In the previous year, Chopra won the Lausanne leg in August and earned his first Diamond League title and a month later he claimed the Diamond League Trophy.
