At her Cannes red carpet debut, Sara Ali Khan poses like a pro

The Indian film industry is well represented at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Sara Ali Khan followed Esha Gupta onto the Cannes red carpet in an ivory Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga. For the uninitiated, Sara’s Cannes debut was initially reported by IndiaToday.in. Sara Ali Khan’s touchdown in France trended all day on social media. And now we get to see her go down the red carpet. Sara chose a majestic Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga with a veil over her head to go desi. The actress posed like a pro, looking confident as she did so.

When asked how she was feeling on the red carpet, Sara replied, “Nervous, I’ve always aspired to be here someday, and I can’t believe I’m here.” Sara described her style as “traditional and modern Indian handmade design by Abu and Sandeep (Khosla).” I’ve always been proud of being Indian. It symbolizes who I am; it’s new, modern, yet has traditional origins.”

Sara Ali Khan was ecstatic to be walking the red carpet at the prestigious film festival. Aside from her, it was previously revealed that Anushka will co-present an award honoring women in film with Hollywood actress Kate Winslet. It will be both actresses’ first appearance at Cannes. Along with Anushka, Manushi Chhillar, the 2017 Miss World, will also make her Cannes debut in 2023. Not only her, but Esha Gupta just made her Cannes debut as part of a team led by Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a Cannes veteran, will attend as well, followed by Aditi Rao Hydari. The film festival began in France on May 16 and will run until May 27, 2023.

On the work front, the actress was seen in the Disney+ Hotstar film Gaslight and will next be seen alongside Vicky Kaushal in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The actress made her film debut with Kedarnath.
