SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files made their mark at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023. The award ceremony was held on Monday, February 20. Alia Bhatt received an award for her role in Gangubai Kathiyawadi. Anupam Kher, Ranbir Kapoor, Rekha, Varun Dhawan, Rishab Shetty, and others were also honored.
On February 20, the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival took place. Many Bollywood actors attended the event. RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Junior NTR and Ram Charan, was named Film of the Year. The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, was named Best Film at the film festival’s award ceremony. Rishab Shetty received the award for Most Promising Actor for Kantara. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were named Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, for their performances in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Brahmastra Part One – Shiva. Varun Dhawan was awarded Critics’ Choice Best Actor for his work in Bhediya, while Anupam Kher was awarded Most Versatile Actor of the Year for his work in The Kashmir Files. Rekha, a former actress, was awarded Outstanding Contribution in the Film Industry for her contributions to cinema. Anupamaa, Zain Imam, Sachet Tandon, and Neeti Mohan, among others, who have earned prizes. Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, starring Ajay Devgn, was named the Best Web Series at the festival.
