Have Fun: BGMI returns with limited playtime

Indians can now download and play Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Krafton, the BGMI developer has now introduced a 2.5 version of the game to bring refined and mesmerizing user experiences. The initial BGMI was banned in India for approx a year but the new version is with enhancements. Now it has limited the playtime for adults and minors under 18 years of age. The game enables the users to login in phases. Therefore, even after the downloading is done users are not allowed to play it at first. The company had promised the wide accessibility of the game within 48 hours timeline.

Currently, the game can be downloaded from the Google Play store and the Apple App Store. On Twitter, some users have commented that they can play the game whereas some suggested that only the server is available.

For promoting responsible gaming practices Krafton has ensured that minors (under 18 years ) can play the game for three hours whereas, adults can play the game for six hours daily. For minors features like parental verification and daily spending limits are also added.

To enhance the gaming experience BGMI has introduced new additions like a brand-new map Nusa, captivating in-game events, weapon upgrades, and a collection of new skins. A first-ever smallest map is introduced by BGMI, a 1×1 map of a resort island that is supposed to be located in a tropical zone. The map aims to offer a captivating experience but with the condition of a single match time of only eight minutes. It will also help in limiting the playtime of the players.

The map has the following key points:

  • As a new mechanism, the map offers the players a “Zipline” that can be used for fast movement of the players across the island. The players can also install the “Elevators” in the hotel in the “New City”.
  • The new “Super Recall” in the map has improvised the duo/squad mode. The BGMI players by using this feature can recall the dead player to the battlefield and they can carry the random weapon provided by any of the surviving teammates. While playing solo, the player is recalled automatically without any help from the teammates.
  • New weapons like the “Tactical Crossbow” are added using which the Zipline can be restored. There is a loop that a player uses and using Fire Arrows the houses can be put on fire.
  • A two-seater off-road ATV is added as a new vehicle in the BGMI that can be moved swiftly irrespective of the terrain issues.

The new version of BGMI includes a few in-game events and regular updates of the classic maps.
