Not very often, do we find people follow their hearts and gain success in their path? Manas Kumar Das is the CEO and Director of Exabyte Infotech Pvt. Ltd. 5 years ago, he started the company to deliver end-to-end IT solutions that include supply, development, consultation, implementation, support, and maintenance of IT software and Hardware products. He was a former Director of Project Operations at HCL Infosystem Ltd.
After a successful career spanning around 20 years; he started to walk on his dream path of entrepreneurship. Today, he has successfully established his company Exabyte (www.exabyteinfotechllc.com) not only in India but also started a wing in UAE.

Tell us something about your journey in the industry.
The field of software and its solutions opens up a number of possibilities. In recent years, the emergence of software technologies has led to the emergence of many technical integrators. In the coup, be an interesting technical integrator; from an executive position at a world-class tech mogul, I fortuitously changed my path to becoming a tech entrepreneur. Since the turn of the millennium, I have been able to witness the changing technologies and the flood of possibilities.
I understand that technology is bringing dynamic changes across all segments. Digitization and automation offer the best prospects and further fuel the intense competition among the players. I can see this issue as an opportunity for an IT services company that has group solutions and a strong infrastructure to expand the client’s business. To make this opportunity a reality, we incepted Exabyte Infotech Pvt. Ltd. in 2018. The company is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and is recognized under the Startup India initiative. How would you describe yourself in one word?
As a passionate entrepreneur, I believe in and operate in a lean agile process ensuring success for all stakeholders. I help customers to deliver their vision in quick timelines with the help of my team at Exabyte. All our customers are our partners and we believe in succeeding together and delivering progress daily.
What is the prediction for the future of this industry?
The increasing adoption of cloud-based marine management solutions for automating shipment operations will offer robust opportunities for the market in the upcoming years. Besides, the advances in technology like analytics, big data, and artificial intelligence that helps end users in organizing inventory data digitally, monitoring and managing to ship, and tracking order among others will also fuel market growth. What percentage of your life do you control?
I believe that I have a large amount of control in my life, at least over 80%. I never look at negative situations in my life and blame outward circumstances since I know it was my own decisions only that have driven me there and, ultimately, the decisions that can get me out. I understand that this can be a little difficult thing to do, but it definitely takes a lot of strength to find the good in certain situations.
How would you define a happy and successful day in your life?
In fact, none of us humans have a successful day every day, but the ups and downs in our lives to keep learning how to act, think, act and behave right are daily challenges for all of us. For me, a happy and successful day in my life is the day in which I complete all the activities that I wanted to do. It does not necessarily have to be a long list of things. When I do what I set out to do for the day and do it right, I feel like the day is a success.
What leadership quality do you find is the most useful?
A leader with high ethical standards demonstrates their commitment to fairness by inspiring confidence that both they and their employees will play by the rules of the game. Similarly, when leaders communicate their expectations clearly, they avoid overwhelming people and ensure everyone is on the same page. In a safe environment, employees can unwind by harnessing the brain’s increased capacity for social engagement, innovation, creativity, and ambition. No leader can do everything himself. Therefore, it is very important to spread power throughout the organization and rely on the decision-making of those closest to them.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced till now?
And how you have overcome it? One of the biggest challenges I have faced and continue to face is meeting the expectations I set for myself. I aim high and sometimes when things aren’t going the way I want them to, it’s hard for me to move forward. But I never gave up, I always found a way to achieve the desired result. After reaching one, I install another, so it’s an endless struggle.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I love solitude, the time I do my favorite things like reading, listening to music, etc. that gives me the opportunity to relax, but it’s not for long….. I love to spend time with my friends & family members, make noise, be together, or just have “family time.”
