Microsoft and HDFC Bank collaborate as part of HDFC Bank's digital transformation initiative

Microsoft and HDFC Bank collaborate as part of HDFC Bank’s digital transformation initiative.

The largest private sector bank in India, HDFC Bank, is collaborating with Microsoft on the next stage of its digital transformation journey in order to transform its application portfolio, modernize its data environment, and secure the company using Microsoft Cloud. As part of its Future Ready strategy, HDFC Bank is working to co-create technical intellectual property with a number of businesses, including FinTechs.

In order to grow its information management capabilities across business reporting and advanced analytics utilizing artificial intelligence, the bank will use Microsoft Azure to unify and modernize its enterprise data landscape through a Federated Data Lake.

The solution, which is built on the Microsoft Azure stack, will allow the bank to democratize and monetize its data landscape, which serves a number of business units and spans numerous systems, reports, and processes. The system is supported by a deep learning ecosystem built on AI/ML, a uniform architecture, a collaborative engineering environment, and industry-leading security.

The Bank will also make use of the industry-leading low-code and no-code features of Microsoft Power Platform to establish an App Innovation and Automation Factory. The Bank will be able to transfer, update, and modify its application portfolio with the App Factory.

Additionally, HDFC Bank will make use of Microsoft 365 to construct a modernized, integrated, and secure digital workplace that addresses three crucial areas of transformation: secure remote work, employee communication, and app modernization. Additionally, HDFC Bank has integrated Microsoft Security solutions to provide secure hybrid work for its staff invisibly.
