Movie Review: Zara Hatke Zara Bachke

Starring: Sara Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Sharib Hashmi, Kanupriya Pandit, and others

Directed by: Laxman Utekar

Positive Point: The first half is entertaining when a couple wants to stay as a nuclear family and the movie showcases their struggle to buy their own separate house.

Negative Point: The director had some of the plots complicated and at times the movie is quite predictable during the second half

It is recommended that if you are a fan of the stars you can go for it otherwise you can wait for the OTT release.

The movie is released in the Hindi language in the theatres around you.

The movie duration is 132 Minutes

Laxman Utekar, the filmmaker’s movie is all bout hide and seek. A build-up of the story is around lies and creates a comic error and emotional and personal dramas. According to the information on the net, unlike MiMi, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is an original script. The credit for the story and screenplays goes to Utekar along with Maitrey Bajpai and Ramiz Ilham Khan. The story is about how a couple aspires to live per high societal standards but their economic condition is pulling them back.

The performers of the movie:

Vicky Kaushal is more of a human rather than a star looking for Vanity and has elevated the movie from his performance irrespective of his Indore accent which is not to the point. Sara Ali Khan’s performance is similar to her role in the movie Atrangi Re. Her hand movements at times are too much for the scene. Sara shares a quite romantic Chemistry with Vicky Kaushal and they both are looking a good pair. In spite of some loopholes, it is an entertaining movie and a good experience. There is an awesome performance by Kanupriya Pandit and she has carried her experience of working in television and a perfect cast for the role.

The Direction of the movie:

Laxman Utekar is capable of making his story look visually appealing. But this time he should have taken a different route of telling the story as twice he has played the same hiding game. Raghav Ramadoss as a DOP has created beautiful frames and to give life to the story. The art direction of Laxman Utekar’s movie impresses the audience as it brings fun and reality in itself.

The music given by Sachin-Jigar is going very viral and will stay for a long. It is very catchy and fun to listen to.

Final word:

Laxman Utekar’s plot has reached a saturation level for the audience.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has been released in theaters on 2nd June 2023.
