'Tiger 3' Claims Exclusive Hold on IMAX
Theaters in India, Outshining 'The Marvels

Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ is all set to take charge of IMAX screens across India, shifting the spotlight from ‘The Marvels’. The much-awaited Indian film, starring not only Salman Khan but also Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, is gearing up for its theatrical release on Diwali 2023.

Reports suggest that ‘Tiger 3’ will exclusively claim all 23 IMAX theaters in India, nudging ‘The Marvels’ release, which was originally scheduled for November 10. This move signals a significant turning point, indicating the escalating dominance of Indian cinema over Hollywood blockbusters in the country’s cinematic landscape. In a compelling parallel, industry pundits recall ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ surpassing ‘Titanic’ in Indian cinemas back in 1998.

This recent trend showcases the consistent triumph of Bollywood and regional cinema over major Hollywood releases such as ‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. Furthermore, Indian films have also made an impressive mark on the international front, with successes like Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ in China and ‘RRR’ finding its place in Western markets.

‘Tiger 3’, the third installment in the exhilarating Tiger franchise, will hit the big screens in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film boasts Emraan Hashmi as the formidable antagonist. Part of the acclaimed YRF Spy Universe franchise, ‘Tiger 3’ follows the trail of successes from ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), ‘War’ (2019), and ‘Pathaan’ (2023). Moreover, a special cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan’s character from ‘Pathaan’ is highly anticipated.

The overwhelming decision to allocate all IMAX screens in India to ‘Tiger 3’ indicates the soaring enthusiasm and anticipation surrounding this action-packed espionage thriller. As the release date draws near, fans and cinema enthusiasts eagerly await the fireworks promised by this Salman Khan starrer.
