2,000 new auto jobs to be generated

Renault and Nissan together would make the world’s fourth largest carmaker.
As per reports the joint venture between Renault Group and Nissan Motor Corporation will create 2000 new Jobs in India.

These jobs will be added at the Renault Nissan Technology & Business centre in Chennai. This collaboration has led to a $600 million investment drive in India. The investment plan will include bulk hiring, decarbonising the chennai factory and expanding their lineup of cars.

Six new vehicles will be engineered and manufactured at the Chennai factory that will comprise three vehicles from each company, including four SUVs and two electric vehicles (EVs). These cars are meant not only for the Indian Market but will be exported as well.

According to Ashwani Gupta, Chief operating officer at Nissan, The investment plan will capture the domestic market which is said to be the third largest in the world and also the country will be the export hub for the companies.
