Ray Stevenson: The antagonist of RRR passes away at 58

The antagonist of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR, Ray Stevenson passed away at the age of 58. Ray Stevenson’s publicist confirmed the news and the cause of death is uncertain.

Stevenson was born on 25th May 1964 in Lisburn. He was the second one among his three brothers. When he was 8 years old, he shifted to England where he was enrolled in the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He was a graduate at the age of 29. Since the early 1990s, he started working as an actor in Movies and TV shows.

Stevenson played the role of gigolo tasked to help Helena Bonham Carter’s character lose her virginity in the 1998 movie The Theory of Flight and it proved to be the turning point of his career. Through his movies like Punisher: War Zone, Volstagg in Marvel’s Thor movies and Kill the Irishman he was able to impress his audience.

He played a villainous role in the RRR after which Stevenson completed his final film Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday co-starring Scott Adkins. He was also cast in all 22 episodes of HBO and BBC’s Rome.
