Rains are expected in parts of North India as the cold wave in Delhi and Rajasthan subsides

While the minor improvement in minimum temperatures has provided relief from the cold wave conditions in Delhi and Rajasthan, the meteorological department has forecast rain in numerous parts of northern India this week due to western cyclonic disturbances. Meanwhile, despite connectivity difficulties, snowfall in hill regions such as Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand continues to entice visitors.

According to a Meteorological Office spokesperson, most localities in Rajasthan experienced a modest increase in minimum temperatures. Sirohi had the coldest night in the state, with a temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Karauli, which had a temperature of 5.2 degrees. Churu reported a night temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer 6.7 degrees, Dholpur and Dabok 7 degrees, Alwar 7.3 degrees, Chittorgarh 7.5 degrees, and Sangaria and Sriganganagar 7.8 degrees.
